History

Organic import and export companies find synergy in Organic Trade Company-Holland B.V.

Tellus Produce B.V. and Trabana B.V. have merged and will continue their activities under the name OTC-HOLLAND

Tellus Produce B.V., Lelystad, in the Netherlands is since 2001 active as an importer and exporter of organic fresh fruit and vegetables. Tellus Produce exports a complete line of organic fruit and vegetables from Holland and Belgium. The product offer is complimented by products imported from countries like Turkey, Egypt and the Southern European countries.
Since 1990, Trabana B.V., Amsterdam, the Netherlands, is importing and exporting organic fresh fruit, such as bananas, mangos, citrus fruit and other (exotic) fruit. Trabana is daughter-comapny of Tradin Organic Agriculture B.V., one of the worlds leading trading companies in basic organic commodities.

The search for ways to expeditely increase sales; a concrete demand from clients for a complete “one stop” product offer and further economies of scales were reasons for both Trabana and Tellus to look for additional synergy. The product lines of Tellus Produce and Trabana are fully complementary and merging both companies was a logic decision for the management of Tellus Produce and Tradin: The Organic Trade Company Holland B.V., operating under the name OTC-Holland, was born.

All divisions have now been merged and OTC-Holland will initiate her activities, based in Lelystad as per the 1st of April 2004.
OTC-Holland will be able to benefit from the size and (purchasing) power of the Tradin group of companies and will be able to strengthen her international position.
Due to the resulting economies of scale and her international network OTC-Holland will be an even more reliable and interesting partner for wholesalers, catering companies and supermarkets in and out of Europe.
The resulting sales efficiency and distribution strength will in turn lead to a more direct and intensified collaboration between producers and exporters all over the world!
